This site is designed to allow visitors to understand more about the history of a small Connecticut town called Barkhamsted.  The site was developed for teachers to use as a tool to teach local history.   It contains two time travel journeys into the past which allow students to meet characters from the town and see what life was like.  The site also offers ideas for activities and teaching tools as well as a list of books and other sources that will be helpful to anyone teaching history.
